I'm a French drummer and organist. I'm discovering this sort of holed cymbal. Very interested blended sound like a chord. Sure that drums are not one instrument (une batterie in french) but a real orchestra. English is right : drums with a s. And this "holed sound" is very different. ❤️

Could someone enlighten me on what effect was put on the snare drum giving it that “sigh/hiss/bite”? Is it a reverb put through some specific frequency filter or something? I hear it a lot on some country rock tracks that I love
